This movie is as shallow as it gets from the plot to the characters to the melodrama. As in season 2 after ep 9, the author wanted to do everything very seriously, like trying too hard to squeeze a tear even though until then it was a relatively cheap comedy harem.
Which brings us to the movie, which has the same flaws. Well screw logic, I think the author said. Especially for Utaha, who, following her dere tropes, is supposed to be able to die for her love. decision for them, just ditching Tomoya like that was completely out of line. While I agree that both Eriri and Utaha needed to be in an environment where they can grow faster and being with Fields Chronicles was the best I will cover it briefly since you need to understand why I think the movie is the most mid thing ever, or even worse. Now you may be wondering what exactly happened in episode 9 to force me to write a review for the first time in my life.
If you've seen season 2 and you liked it, then you can skip my review, because I'm going to complain about the new direction that saekano took after episode 9.
